Steve Fennell has over 25 years of experience in the residential development and construction business. He founded Tradition Homes
in 2002 in the northern suburbs of Chicago, building more than 70 custom and semi-custom single family homes, before moving the business
to Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina in 2006. The company was renamed Fennell Custom Homes in 2011 to reflect the small-company, personalized
service nature of the business.
Prior to forming Tradition Homes, Steve developed large master-planned communities for Pritzker Realty
Group (the real estate arm of Chicago’s entrepreneurial Pritzker family), and was a partner and President of Sudler & Co., a large
Chicago based residential development, management and brokerage company. His educational background includes a degree in finance from
the University of Southern California and a juris doctor degree from DePaul University.
Steve has devoted a great deal of time to the
homebuilding industry, being a past president of the Lake County (IL) Homebuilders Association and serving several terms as a member
of the Board of Directors of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Chicago, both of which are part of the National Association of
Homebuilders.
But, more important to you, the prospective client of Fennell Custom Homes, is that Steve is passionate about custom
homebuilding and client service. He is dedicated to keeping up with the latest innovations and advances in building components, processes
and technology. He will patiently guide you through the entire process and will be happy to answer all of your questions. And, he
is committed to helping you design a home and floor plan that work for the way you live and include features that will make you and
your family comfortable, safe and secure.
